Where public climate signals remain visible: issuer compression and debt-rating sorting in China
Climate & Financial Information →Research summary
An archival study of Chinese medium-term notes examines how public climate information appears at the issuer and debt-rating levels. It separates concentration in issuer grades, finer debt-grade resolution, and the effects of issuance frequency. The analysis evaluates sensitivity to proxy definitions, geographic composition, and imbalanced rating classifications. The findings motivate transparent climate-information overlays and improved links between obligors, facilities, emitters, guarantors, and securities.
